Thymosin Precautions

Sep 13, 2025|

Contraindications: Thymosin is contraindicated in patients allergic to thymosin components, organ transplant recipients, and those with severe renal insufficiency.

Thymosin may aggravate autoimmune diseases (such as lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis) and should be used with caution in such patients.

Adverse Reactions: Allergic reactions such as fever, rash, and redness and swelling at the injection site may occur. Immediately discontinue the drug and seek medical attention.

Long-term use requires regular monitoring of liver, kidney, and immune function.

Dosage Instructions: Avoid concomitant use with immunosuppressants (such as glucocorticoids), as this may reduce efficacy.

During treatment, a light diet is recommended, avoiding alcohol and spicy foods.
